Boiled eggs

Boiled eggs

Eggs are a common food in our lives and are very nutritious. Many people have eggs in their breakfast, which can also promote the body's protein intake. There are many ways to eat eggs in life. One way to eat eggs is to soak them in boiling water. This may seem very strange to many people. The effect of soaking eggs in boiling water is also very magical.

1. Boil eggs

Experiments show that the protein in an egg can coagulate at 80 degrees Celsius. Therefore, if you want to cook the eggs, in theory you just need to keep them in an environment above 80 degrees Celsius for a period of time. Therefore, if the water temperature can be maintained at 100 degrees Celsius for more than 8 minutes, the eggs can be cooked. Note: This works only if the water temperature can remain constant. If the amount of water is too little or the heat dissipates too quickly, the cooking effect cannot be guaranteed.

2. Efficacy

The main effect of boiling eggs in water is to relieve heat and dryness, relieve cough and moisten the lungs. Its effects also have different emphases when paired with different ingredients. If the main purpose is to clear heat and moisten dryness, use rock sugar and sesame oil for seasoning, which has a good therapeutic effect on sore throat caused by heat. For cough and lung moistening, honey and sesame oil are used as seasoning, which has a very good effect of moistening the lungs and relieving cough, but honey should not be added when relieving cough for children.

3. Methods

First clean the shell of the raw egg, then blanch it in boiling water for about 10 minutes. Pour boiling water into the container you plan to use to boil the eggs, and scald the container for about 10 minutes. This will both sterilize and disinfect the eggs, and ensure that the eggs are fully cooked. Boil water while washing the eggs and the container. When the water is about to boil, pour out the hot water in the container, beat the eggs and beat until bubbles appear. Once the water boils, pour in the egg liquid immediately. To ensure that the egg liquid is fully cooked, cover the dish immediately after pouring in boiling water and simmer until the temperature drops to about 60 degrees before seasoning.
