Steamed Black Pomfret with Garlic and Black Beans

Food is vital to our human body and is closely related to our life. A good diet can prolong your life. On the contrary, a bad diet can take away our precious lives. So, what constitutes a good diet? I guess I have to at least do it myself. Now, let me introduce to you the recipe of steamed black pomfret with garlic and fermented black beans.

1. Peel the ginger and garlic, chop into puree; cut the coriander and chili pepper into small pieces and set aside

2. Put a little oil in the pot, heat it over medium-low heat, add ginger and garlic and stir-fry until fragrant

3. Add garlic and black bean sauce. When you smell the aroma, turn off the heat and let it cool slightly.

4. After cleaning the black pomfret, wipe it dry with kitchen paper, cut two cuts on the back of the fish with a knife; sprinkle a little salt and pepper on both sides and belly of the fish, then spread the sauce in step 3 on the fish.

5. Bring the water in the steamer to a boil over high heat, and steam the fish for about 6-8 minutes until cooked.

6. Put the chopped green onion, chopped coriander and chili on the fish.

7. Put a little oil in the pan and heat until it smokes slightly.

8. Immediately pour the hot oil onto the fish from step 6.

9. Pour soy sauce on both sides of the fish.

Steamed black pomfret with garlic and fermented black beans may seem complicated, but if you actually try it, you’ll find it’s not difficult at all. The key is that you must master the specific steps and methods before you do it.
