Beef stew with potatoes
Beef and Potato Stew Recipe (with pictures and 16 steps). Clean the beef (choose brisket or tendon for better flavor) and cut it into 2 chunks (I bought the beef, washed and cut it before storing, and then thawed it).

Method
- 01
Step 1
Clean the beef (choose brisket or tendon for better flavor) and cut it into 2 pieces (I bought the beef, washed and cut it before storing, and then thawed it).

- 02
Step 2
Pour an appropriate amount of cold water into the pot, put the beef into the pot and heat it. The beef will produce a lot of scum, which you should skim off continuously.

- 03
Step 3
While the beef is cooking, prepare the ingredients: slice the scallions and ginger, cut the chili peppers into sections, smash the whole cloves of garlic, and chop the cilantro.

- 04
Step 4
After preparing the ingredients, peel the potatoes and cut them into chunks using a rolling cut.

- 05
Step 5
Simmer for about half an hour, until no more foam appears or the foam is minimal, then remove the beef.

- 06
Step 6
Wash each piece of cooked beef again (some of the scum produced during cooking will remain on the beef).

- 07
Step 7
Pour an appropriate amount of cooking oil into the pot. When the oil is heated to 60% of its maximum temperature, add the beef and stir-fry.

- 08
Step 8
Stir-fry over low heat for about four or five minutes, until the beef is slightly browned. Then add scallions, ginger, garlic, and chili peppers and stir-fry until fragrant.

- 09
Step 9
Add Pixian chili bean paste and stir-fry until the oil turns red.

- 10
Step 10
Then add appropriate amounts of light soy sauce, cooking wine, and dark soy sauce, and continue stir-frying.

- 11
Step 11
Then add the potatoes and stir-fry, along with salt, MSG, chicken bouillon, and sugar, for two minutes.

- 12
Step 12
Then add an appropriate amount of warm water and bring to a boil over high heat.

- 13
Step 13
After bringing the water to a boil, pour all the beef into a pressure cooker.

- 14
Step 14
Select the "Beef/Lamb" setting and cook for 45 minutes. After 45 minutes, do not open the pressure cooker immediately or turn off the power. Let it simmer for about 30 minutes on the keep-warm setting.

- 15
Step 15
Arrange the beef on a plate, garnish with cilantro, and your delicious beef stew with potatoes is ready!
