How to make Chinese yam

2. Slice the carrots and cut them into cubes for later use

3. Steam it. I steam it in the rice cooker while I am cooking rice. Because it is not thick, I cut it after steaming. If you buy it in the supermarket, you have to cut it first and then steam it so that it will be easier to soften.

4. Heat the pan with cold oil (a little bit of oil). When the oil is hot and smoking, pour in the carrot slices and stir-fry until cooked. Add salt to season, remove from the pan and place on the edge of the plate. It is both decorative and nutritious.

5. Add a little oil, turn off the heat when the oil is hot and smoking, pour in the yam and stir-fry, be careful, otherwise it will easily fall apart. Add salt and stir-fry evenly, then remove from the pan and put it into the previously arranged flower plate, sprinkle with hu hua. When I was making it, my son had left me with only this small plate at home (don’t sweat), and I couldn’t put any flowers on it, so I just stir-fried them together. I didn’t add chopped green onions, but the taste was still okay, it just tasted better with them.
