How to make Yikusitian paste cake

In daily life, many people have to choose to eat out due to work pressure. They do not have too much energy to cook for themselves. In fact, there are many home-cooked dishes that are very simple to make and can be prepared in a short time. For example, the method of making Yikushitian Hubing is very simple, so you may want to consider it.

1. Wash the vegetables. Wash the prepared fennel. You can also use other vegetables instead, depending on your personal preference, but I personally think that fennel and cornmeal have the best taste and smell.

2. Prepare cornmeal. If you have unpeeled cornmeal, it would be the best. If not, please mix superfine cornmeal and coarse cornmeal together for a better taste.

3. Chop and stir. Remove the roots of the fennel and cut it into sections according to the length you usually use when stir-frying garlic shoots. Mix cornmeal with ground fennel, add salt, and stir while adding warm water until the batter has the right amount of moisture.

4. Humidity reference of batter. If you can squeeze it into a ball with your hands as shown in the picture, then don't add any more water. Stir well and set aside.

5. Prepare a cold pot and cold oil. Put a little oil in a non-stick pan, cool the pan and oil, and prepare on the lowest heat.

6. Stick the pancakes. Spread the batter evenly on the bottom of the pan, press it firmly with your hands, cover it with a lid, and simmer it.

7. The batter gradually turns yellow. As the heating time increases, the pancake will become more brown.

8. Open the lid and let out the air. The cooking time depends on the heat of your home. When the pancake is almost cooked, be sure to open the lid to let excess steam dissipate. Lift it up and see if the bottom of the pancake is already golden brown.

9. Bake until golden brown and crispy, and the corn aroma is everywhere, then serve on a plate.

Although restaurants provide us with convenience, they still have many shortcomings. It is better to make it ourselves. The Yikushitian Paste is easy to make, nutritious and healthy.
