How to make tofu and chive boxes

If we want to reduce the occurrence of diseases, we should not always eat out in restaurants. After all, restaurant dishes contain more seasonings and the ingredients may not be hygienic. Cooking by ourselves is relatively healthier. Tofu and leek boxes are simple to make and can help promote health.

1. Mix the flour with hot water, knead into a smooth dough, cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for 20 minutes.

2. Crack and beat the eggs. When the oil in the pan is hot, pour in the egg liquid and stir-fry while crushing it with a spatula. Serve aside for later use.

3. Wash the chives, drain and chop.

4. Chop the tofu into small pieces.

5. Put the leek and tofu into a large container, and then add the fried egg chops and dried shrimps.

6. Add appropriate amount of salt, oyster sauce, five-spice powder and sesame oil for seasoning and stir well.

7. Knead the dough until it is smooth and divide it into several equal portions.

8. Roll one of the dough into a slightly wider strip.

9. Cut with a knife, flatten, and roll into thin skin.

10. Take a piece of thin skin and put the filling in it.

11. Fold both sides and roll it into a chive box with lace.

12. Wrap all the chive boxes one by one.

13. Heat oil in a frying pan, put in the leek dumplings and fry until done, then cover the pan and simmer on low heat for a while.

14. Fry on low heat until the surface turns golden brown, then turn the leek boxes over and continue to simmer on low heat with the cover on for 2 minutes.

15. Photo of the finished product, with plump filling and crispy crust.

Tofu and leek dumplings are easy to make, and the key lies in the preparation of the sauce. If you like sweet and sour taste, you can add some tomato or apple cider vinegar and pour it on the dish, and the dish will immediately become a meal.
