How to make pig buns

How to make pig buns

Ingredients: 500g flour Seasoning: 1 purple potato, 5g yeast (dry), dozens of sesame seeds

1. Dissolve the yeast in hot water at about 30 degrees, stir it in the flour, and then knead it into dough. Knead thoroughly for about 20 minutes until the dough is smooth. Then let it rise in a warm place for two hours until the dough has doubled in size.

2. Wash, cut and cook the purple sweet potatoes, then mash them for later use.

3. Similarly, dissolve the yeast in hot water at about 30 degrees, stir it in the flour, add purple sweet potato, and knead it for about 20 minutes until the dough is smooth. Then let it rise in a warm place for two hours until the dough has doubled in size.

4. Knead the fermented dough once again and then roll it into small pieces for later use.

5. Flatten the dough and use a rolling pin to roll it into a thick middle and thin edge dough.

6. Place the chestnut paste filling in the middle of the dough and wrap it up.

7. Take the purple dough, roll it into a thin skin with a rolling pin, and cut it into small triangles to make the pig's ears later.

8. Make a few more small ovals to make the pig’s nose later.

9. Press the small triangles and ovals on the appropriate parts of the buns to make ears and noses. Then use a toothpick to poke two small holes in the nose, and finally use black sesame seeds to make eyes. After the second fermentation for more than ten minutes, steam it for 15 minutes. After turning off the heat, steam it for 5 minutes and take it out of the pot. The cute little pig buns are ready.
