Use a mullet weighing more than 500 grams, scrape off the scales and remove the fins and intestines, add a little water and salt, and stew it into soup. It can promote the healing of the uterus and wounds, remove blood stasis and promote new growth. People who are weak after illness can often eat blackfish stew, which has the effect of nourishing the mind, removing dampness and reducing swelling. In addition, when there is no milk or little milk after giving birth, use a mullet weighing more than 500 grams, fry it in oil, add appropriate amounts of water, rice wine, salt and MSG, and stew it into soup. When the soup is as white as milk, eat it together with the soup. Its effect of promoting milk production is far better than crucian carp soup and chicken soup.

Ingredients

Every 100 grams of black fish meat contains approximately 19.8 grams of protein, 1.4 grams of fat, 1.2 grams of carbohydrates, 57 milligrams of calcium, 163 milligrams of phosphorus, 0.5 milligrams of iron, as well as sugars, vitamins A and B, niacin, and so on.

Morphological characteristics

The front part of the mullet's body is cylindrical and the back part is laterally flattened. The head is long, slightly flat in the front and slightly raised in the back. The snout is short and blunt, the mouth is large and terminal, the mouth fissure is slightly oblique and extends to the lower edge behind the eye, and the lower jaw is slightly protruding. The teeth are small and arranged in bands on the upper and lower jaws, and the teeth on both sides of the lower jaw are strong and sharp. The eyes are small, located on the upper side, in the front half of the head, quite close to the tip of the snout. There are two pairs of nostrils. The anterior nostrils are located at the tip of the snout and are tubular in shape, while the posterior nostrils are located above the eyes and are small round holes. The gill slits are large, the left and right gill membranes are fused and not connected to the cheeks. The gill rakers are short and thick and sparsely arranged. There is a suprabranchial organ with auxiliary function on each side above the gill cavity.

The body color of the black snakehead is gray-black, with darker back and top of the head, pale white abdomen, irregular black spots on each side of the body, and two rows of black spots on each side of the head. The odd fins have black and white spots, while the even fins are grayish yellow with irregular spots.

The snakehead fish is covered with medium-sized, round scales all over its body, and the top of its head is covered with irregular scales. The lateral line is straight, with a small bend above the anus, and two rows of scales moving downward, running along the middle of the body side and extending to the base of the tail.

3. The dorsal fin of the snakehead is quite long, almost connected to the caudal fin, has no spines, starts above the base of the pectoral fin, and is close to the tip of the snout. The pelvic fin is short, starting from below the 4th-5th dorsal fin rays and ending not reaching the anus. The pectoral fins are rounded, with the tip extending beyond the middle of the pelvic fin. The anal fin is shorter than the dorsal fin and originates below the 15th-16th ray of the anal fin. The tail fin is round. Anus is located just in front of the anal fin.

4. The swim bladder of the black snakehead is single-chambered, slender, rounded at the front and pointed at the end, extending to above the base of the anal fin. The stomach is sac-shaped, with two long and thick pyloric protrusions, about 1/3 the size of the intestine. The intestine is short and hyperbolic, longer than half the body length. The main characteristics of the Heilongjiang subspecies are: the back is dark green-black, with irregular black-green on the sides of the body, the dorsal fin and caudal fin are the same color as the back, and the pectoral fins and anal fins are light in color. The main differences between the Channa bream and the Channa zebra are: the body of the Black Channa is longer, while the body of the Channa zebra is shorter; there are also obvious differences in the markings on the top of the head of the two: the Black Channa bream has seven-star markings on the top of its head, while the Channa zebra has markings on the top of its head that resemble the three words "188"; in addition, the head of the Black Channa is relatively pointed and long, more like a snake. The black snakehead is a strong creature among aquatic animals. It usually likes to live in areas with lush aquatic plants or at the bottom of turbid water. When small fish and shrimps swim close, it will launch a surprise attack and swallow these small animals. A 0.5-kilogram black fish can swallow a grass carp or carp weighing 200 to 300 grams in one bite. Snakehead carp has strong vitality and ranks first among freshwater fish. Someone has done an experiment and found that if black carp is placed on damp and cool land, it can survive for half a month. Because most fish can only absorb oxygen dissolved in water, while black carp can directly absorb oxygen from the air, it relies on this "special ability" that when there is no rain for a long time and the lake is about to dry up, it can hibernate like some animals. At this time, it sits in the mud with its tail down, leaving only its mouth exposed above the mud. This is commonly known as black carp "sitting on a stick" or "sitting and escaping". This is the black carp's "drought sleep". At this time, it is in a state of numbness, which can last for several weeks. When water comes back, the snakehead fish will return to normal life.
