How to make California roll sushi

The main ingredient of sushi is rice, and the toppings are varied, including sweet shrimp, cucumber, eel, etc. It is a traditional Japanese delicacy. Today I’d like to introduce to you a type of sushi - California roll sushi. The main ingredients of California roll sushi are cucumber, crab sticks, etc. Other ingredients can be added according to personal preference. It is well known that cucumbers can provide the human body with a large amount of vitamins and amino acids, and have a crisp taste. Coupled with the full and smooth texture of the crab sticks, the taste of sushi is elevated to a higher level. Next, I will show you how to make California roll sushi.

Prepare the ingredients: First, add rice. Add rice vinegar, salt, and sugar to the cooked rice (sushi rice or Northeast rice is also fine). The approximate ratio is 3 cups of raw rice to 3 cups of water. After cooking, add 6 tablespoons of vinegar, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 2 teaspoons of salt and mix well. Of course, you can also adjust the taste according to your own preferences.

Next, prepare the ingredients. The rolls here are filled with all vegetables, but you can actually adjust the ingredients according to your preferences, such as red peppers, carrots, celery, crab sticks, cucumbers, spread egg skins, avocados (also called alligator), etc. Cut all the ingredients into long strips.

1. Prepare sushi vinegar. Tips: When preparing sushi vinegar, be sure to add some lemon juice, which can neutralize the acidity of white vinegar and increase the fruity flavor.

2.Mix sushi vinegar fish and rice.

3. Place a piece of seaweed on the sushi curtain, then a layer of rice on the seaweed, and place vegetables at one end - here we use red pepper strips, carrot strips, avocado strips, and celery strips. Tip 1: Wrap a layer of plastic wrap on the bamboo mat so that the rice won’t stick to it when rolling the sushi!

Tip 2: The rice should be placed on the rough side of the nori so that it will stick firmly to the nori.

4. Roll sushi. Tip 1: When rolling sushi, the vegetables at the bottom must be laid flat. Tip 2: Start rolling from the end where the vegetables are placed, and continue until it is all rolled up. Do not roll the sushi mat in as well; it is only used to help shape the roll.

5. Cut the sushi and pour the salad dressing on it. Tips: If rice grains stick to the knife, rinse it with clean water and it will be easier to cut.

The California sushi roll is done.
