Snacks are a common food in all parts of my country, and different regions have snacks with different characteristics. If you want to truly taste Chinese food, you must look for it among the snacks, so that you can understand the characteristics of different places. Sichuan's Three Cannons, Xi'an's Lamb Soup with Steamed Buns, and Beijing's Luzhu Huoshao are all well-known snacks in China. Understanding the characteristics of each place will give you more choices when traveling.

Braised fire

A traditional Beijing specialty snack, braised steamed buns are made by cooking steamed buns with stewed pork intestines and lungs, and served with fried tofu slices, blood tofu, marinade, garlic juice, fermented tofu sauce, coriander and other ingredients. The buns are cooked through without being sticky, and the meat is tender but not rotten, and is quite popular among Beijingers.

It is fragrant and crispy when bitten, and it tastes crispy, salty and fresh in the mouth.

Pepper Pancake

Fresh and fragrant chopped green onions and finely chopped ham are seasoned with a salty and sweet taste, and then mixed with a certain amount of pepper and balsamic. In addition to the "leavened dough" of ordinary pan-fried buns, the outer skin is also added with a little "oil pastry" to make the bun not too crispy but not too hard to chew.

The bun is puffy, the skin is crispy and the inside is tender. It is cooked to perfection, and it is best eaten at a temperature that is hot. The old Tongguan Roujiamo is a hot bun with cold meat.
