How to make ginger tea

Ginger tea is a common drink. It is made by adding a small amount of tea leaves, an appropriate amount of ginger slices, and then boiling them with water. You can drink some ginger tea after meals. How to make ginger tea

1. Ginger tea

Ingredients: 6 grams of black tea, 10 grams of old ginger, and appropriate amount of honey.

Preparation: Boil black tea leaves, old ginger and water into tea. When it is warm, add honey and drink.

Efficacy: Warms the middle and dispels cold, strengthens the stomach and helps digestion. Suitable for stomach pain caused by cold evil.

Note: It is not suitable for stomachache of damp-heat type.

2. Brown sugar ginger tea

Ginger: 50g Brown sugar: 75g

Effect: Warming the uterus, promoting blood circulation

Method: Chop the ginger into small pieces, add three bowls of water and boil it into one bowl of water. If you want to replenish blood, please add red dates. When there is almost only one bowl of water left, add brown sugar. You don't need to cook brown sugar for so long

3. Boiled ginger tea

Effect: 1. Drink before eating cold food in summer to prevent uterine cold

Note: There is a saying among the people that "eat radish in winter and ginger in summer". It is best to drink it in summer.

Medicinal health care

Ginger tea is only effective for colds caused by wind and cold. Drinking it for colds caused by wind and heat will aggravate the symptoms.

The difference in symptoms between wind-cold cold and wind-heat cold is that wind-cold cold is caused by the invasion of wind-cold evil and the failure of lung qi to flow. Symptoms include: severe aversion to cold, mild fever, no sweating, headache and body aches, nasal congestion and clear runny nose, cough and thin white sputum, no thirst or thirsty for hot drinks, and thin white tongue coating. Wind-heat cold is caused by wind-heat evil invading the exterior and disharmony of lung qi. Symptoms include high fever, slight aversion to wind, headache, sweating, red and swollen sore throat, cough, sticky or yellow phlegm, nasal congestion and yellow nasal discharge, thirst and desire to drink, red tip and edges of the tongue, and a thin white and slightly yellow tongue coating.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, colds are caused by external wind and cold, and ginger is hot in nature and has a pungent and dispersing effect, so it can dispel external pathogens, so it is effective.

However, wind-heat cold is caused by internal obstruction of pathogens, and drinking ginger tea will aggravate the symptoms.
