How to make sesame and scallion pancake

1. Knead the dough with water. I used a bread machine today and kneaded it for 20 minutes. After kneading, let it rest for 30 minutes.

2. During this process, let's prepare the scallion oil. Chop the green onions, the more you add, the better the taste.

3. Add oil to the pot. You can add more oil. If you can’t use it all, you can save it for other uses.

4. After the oil is heated, pour half of the prepared chopped green onion into the oil and fry on low heat for 10 minutes. It smells very fragrant during the frying process. Turn off the heat after the time is up. The scallion oil is ready and set aside.

5. After the dough has rested, divide it into two portions. Mine seem to be of different sizes.

6. Take one portion and flatten it into a rectangle.

7. Brush a layer of scallion oil on the dough, sprinkle a layer of sesame seeds, and then evenly sprinkle salt, five-spice powder and pepper powder.

8. Add half of the scallions that were fried in the scallion oil and half of the fresh scallions.

9. Make two cuts on both sides of the dough, and wrap both sides towards the middle, pressing down as you wrap.

10. The operation in the middle is the same as before, wrap it from left to right, then wrap it upwards, and finally it becomes a rectangular pancake. If it is not easy to use a rolling pin, press the pancake thinner with your hands.

11. Sprinkle sesame seeds on both sides of the dough, brush a layer of scallion oil in the frying pan, put the dough in, press it down with your hands, and brush scallion oil on the side facing up.

12. After one side of the dough changes color, turn it over. Similarly, brush the upward side with scallion oil. Turn it over four times and it will be done. The Thousand Layer Cake is ready, take it out, cut it into pieces and you can eat it.

Although there are many steps to make sesame and scallion oil lasagna, it is not difficult at all as long as you master them carefully. Of course, cooking also depends on talent, and if you are gifted, you will definitely be able to cook the best in no time. Of course, if you want to achieve perfection, you need to practice more.
