5. Take a small piece of wet dough.

6. Roll it into a funnel shape with a small bottom and a large top as shown in the picture. Make sure the thickness of the dough is even, otherwise it will break easily when you roll it into balls.

7. Put appropriate amount of black sesame filling in the dumpling skin.

8. Use various methods to rub the sesame filling into the dumpling skin.

9. Rub it slowly into shape.

10. Finally, roll it into round balls.

11. After all the dumplings are rolled, place them in a container with glutinous rice flour. Because the dumplings are made of wet glutinous rice flour and are extremely sticky, you need to sprinkle some dry powder on them to prevent them from sticking to the container and breaking when you take them out.

12. Heat a pot and boil water.

13. After the water boils, slowly put the dumplings into the water one by one.

14. All the dumplings are put into the water. Shake the pan slightly so that the dumplings don't stick to the bottom of the pan. Do not use a spatula to flip the dumplings at this time, because the dumplings are still wet when they are just put into the water, and they will easily break or stick together if you flip them. Bring to a boil over high heat.

15. When the water boils, add appropriate amount of cold water to cool the pot.

16. Continue cooking over high heat.

17. Cook until the water in the pot boils again, then add an appropriate amount of cold water. Cook over high heat.

18. When the water in the pot boils again, add cold water and boil again until all the dumplings in the pot float to the surface. Turn off the heat and serve.

19. Serve in bowls. There should be an even number of dumplings in the bowl.

20. Shanghai people must eat dumplings in pairs for good luck. If there are only two pills left at the end, married people will be successful, and if there is only one pill left, single people will have good luck in everything.
