Diet for gastritis patients

Gastritis is a relatively common stomach disease. Many people will develop gastritis if they have irregular diet or are under too much physical and mental stress. The stomach is an important part for digesting food and absorbing the nutritional value of food. Therefore, when gastritis or other stomach diseases occur, patients must pay great attention to their diet. Below, I recommend several recipes suitable for patients with gastritis!

1. Stomach-nourishing porridge for gastritis

1. Ginger and jujube porridge

Add 3 slices of ginger, 15 dates and 50 grams of glutinous rice and cook them together into porridge. Suitable for spleen and stomach deficiency and cold syndrome.

2. Lentil and Buddha’s Hand Porridge

Cook 100 grams of lentils, 30 grams of bergamot and 100 grams of glutinous rice together into porridge. Suitable for liver-stomach disharmony.

3. Red Dates and Lotus Seed Porridge

About 80 grams of red dates, 50 grams of lotus seeds, and 200 grams of glutinous rice are cooked together into porridge. It has the effect of nourishing the spleen and stomach.

2. Stomach-nourishing Soup for Gastritis

1. Yam Chicken Soup

200 grams of yam, 1/3 chicken, 200 grams of mushrooms, 1 candied date, 2 slices of ginger, and 5 longans. Put the fried chicken pieces into a slow cooker, add appropriate amount of boiling water, put in the iron stick yam pieces, cover, and simmer on low heat for 2 hours. Then add chicken liver, gizzards and other chicken offal, cover and continue to simmer for 20 minutes. Finally, add salt, pepper and other seasonings, and put in appropriate amount of wolfberry.

2. Hericium erinaceus chicken soup

Three Hericium erinaceus, half a chicken, wolfberry, ginger, salt, cooking wine, and a few slices of ham. Soak the Hericium erinaceus in warm water for six hours, grab it with your hands and wash it clean. Put the chicken in a boiling pot and blanch it, add some wine to remove the fishy smell, put all the ingredients into an electric stewed purple clay pot, add enough cold water at once, and stew for four hours. Add wolfberries when there is still half an hour left, and add salt to taste before drinking.

3. Barley and pork tripe soup

50 grams of coix seed, 100 grams of pork tripe, 10 milliliters of cooking wine, and appropriate amounts of onion, ginger, salt and MSG. First, boil the pork tripe and coix seeds for 30 minutes, then add the remaining ingredients and cook for 15 minutes. Finally, add MSG and serve.

3. Foods that should not be used by patients with gastritis

1. Foods that ferment and cause bloating in the gastrointestinal tract, such as milk, soy milk, etc.

2. Vegetables containing crude fiber, such as leeks, celery, onions and unripe fruits.

3. Foods that are difficult to digest, such as fried foods, large pieces of fish and meat that are pickled, smoked, or cured.

4. Foods that stay in the stomach for a long time, such as glutinous rice, rice cakes, corn tortillas, etc.

5. Raw, cold, sour, spicy and hard foods.

6. All kinds of wine, alcoholic beverages and carbonated beverages.

7. Spicy condiments, such as chili, curry, pepper, etc.
