Pork, glutinous rice and lotus root recipe

Many times, we envy others for having a relative who can cook, so that we can enjoy delicious meals after get off work. Instead of envying others, it is better to do it yourself. Below we will introduce to you the recipe of pork, glutinous rice and lotus root.

1. Wash the lotus root and cut a 2 cm long section at the front end to use as a lid;

2. Wash the glutinous rice and drain the water; add minced pork, salt, five-spice powder, and soy sauce to the glutinous rice and mix well;

3. Fill the hollow inside the lotus root node with the pork and glutinous rice. This requires patience and time.

4. Then use a toothpick to secure the lotus root that serves as the lid to prevent it from leaking out;

5. Prepare water in a pot, add bay leaves, cinnamon, fennel, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce and a little rock sugar; then put the prepared lotus root into the pot; put it in the pressure cooker for about 25 minutes;

6. Press until the glutinous rice and lotus root are soft! When eating, you can cook lotus root soup and add a little water starch to use as a dipping sauce!
