5. Roll the dough into a long strip from one side of the dough with the custard filling.

6. Seal both sides of the roll. Bring water to boil in a pot

7. After the water boils, put the custard rolls into the pot, steam over high heat for 2 minutes, then turn to medium heat and steam for 20 minutes. I used the extra flour to steam a few white buns.

8. After turning off the heat, do not open the lid immediately. Simmer for another 3 minutes to prevent the steamed buns or custard rolls from shrinking. After taking it out, let it cool down and store it in a bag to prevent the skin from drying out.

9. Cut the custard rolls into strips. The brightly colored, sweet and soft custard rolls are ready.
