Tomato, beef brisket and potato recipe

(If you don’t have an electric stew pot, you can use a pressure cooker instead. A pressure cooker can shorten the cooking time because it is under high pressure. 30 minutes should be enough.)

8.2 When the surface of the beef brisket is slightly browned, pour in clean water and start to simmer the beef brisket. The water should cover the beef brisket.

9. After the beef brisket is stewed, start preparing vegetables. Cut carrots and potatoes into dice, and chop onions into pieces for later use.

10. After the beef brisket is cooked, add a proper amount of oil in a wok and start frying potatoes and carrots. When the potatoes are translucent, add onions and fry together.

11. When all the vegetables are fried until 70% cooked, pour the beef brisket and soup in the electric stew pot into the wok and stew them with the vegetables, and add the scallion.

12. Add appropriate amount of tomato sauce (about one spatula) and salt to taste. Simmer for about ten more minutes, preferably until the potatoes are just cooked. If you like a darker color, you can add some soy sauce to adjust the color.

13. The potatoes should be angular and cooked but not mushy. Finally, add pepper powder and mix well before serving. It is best to reserve some of the soup.

14. Plate and the finished product.
