How to make pork ribs stewed with cabbage and rice cake

1.12 Cut the ribs into large pieces and soak them in clean water for 30 minutes to remove the blood. After the water boils, add the valve. When steam starts to form, turn to medium heat and simmer for 12 minutes. Then turn off the heat. If you don’t know how to use a pressure cooker, you can cook it in an iron pot on low heat for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

3.1 Cut the kimchi into large pieces.

4.2 When preparing the spareribs, cut the long rice cake into strips, or you can use rice cake slices.

5. After the ribs are pressed, remove the scallions and ginger and drain the ribs.

6. Do not throw away the pork rib soup, remove the spices and set aside.

7. I use Korean chili sauce, which is sold in supermarkets.

8. Add slightly less oil to the wok than usual. When the oil is 70% hot and blue smoke starts to come out, add the kimchi and stir-fry.

9. Add two porcelain spoons of chili sauce, 1 porcelain spoon of light soy sauce, 1/2 porcelain spoon of sugar, and stir-fry with the cabbage to make a red soup.

10. Pour in the spareribs and stir-fry until the spareribs are evenly colored.

11. Pour the pork ribs soup into the pot, just enough to cover the ribs. After boiling over high heat, add salt according to your taste. Then turn to low heat and cook for 20 minutes.

12. Then add the rice cake strips and simmer for 10 minutes on low heat. Then turn to high heat to thicken the soup. Add a small amount of MSG and stir evenly. It is ready to serve.
