If you can learn how to cook beef brisket and tomatoes with potatoes like me, you will definitely be excited for a long time. 1.1 Cut the beef brisket into pieces, wash it with clean water, put it in a bowl, pour in 1 tablespoon of cooking wine, 1/3 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, pepper powder and ginger powder and marinate for 20 minutes. 2.2 Prepare onions, star anise, garlic and dried chilies. Since we used ginger powder to marinate the meat, we didn’t use fresh ginger here. 3.1 Cut 1 potato and half a carrot into dice and set aside. (The potato cubes should not be too small, because the rice cooker version will be put in together with the beef, so if they are too small, they will easily be overcooked) 4.2 Take 2 tomatoes, use a knife to cut off the dead lumps on the top in circles, and make a cross-shaped cut at the bottom. Put it in boiling water and cook it for 30 seconds on both sides. Remove from the pot immediately, rinse with cold water and tear off the skin. (For specific operation tips, please refer to step 14 of the recipe for "Tomato and Egg Hot Noodle Soup") Cut a lemon into thin slices and set aside (If you don't have lemon, you can use the peel of an orange you have eaten instead) 5.1 Pour cold water into the wok, put the marinated beef brisket in, and turn off the heat immediately when the water boils and blood smell and blood foam appear. 6.2 Rock sugar, take an appropriate amount immediately. In fact, it is better to use broken ice cubes so that they can melt faster. 7. Take out the beef brisket, rinse it in cold water, and then drain it. 8. Add oil to the pot and slowly melt the rock sugar over low heat. Stir as much as possible to avoid the temperature being too high and the sugar becoming thick. 9. When the rock sugar is completely melted and turns golden red, add the beef brisket and stir-fry until every piece of meat is covered with sugar color. Remove from the heat immediately and put it into the rice cooker. 10. Then add in order: carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, garlic, star anise, and dried chilies. Add boiling water to cover the ingredients, pour in 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce, 1/3 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, and appropriate amount of salt. Fill the pot and cover it with lid. Set it to a mode that does not automatically skip gears. (The basic rice cooker in my home only has two modes: rice and porridge, so I set it to the porridge mode) Okay! Now you can detach from your body and let go of yourself. Wait three hours and then go back to the kitchen to prepare to eat this full pot of tomato, beef brisket, stewed potatoes and rice. 11. After three hours, I came back and the fragrant tomato and beef brisket soup was super delicious! A delicious dish can make people happy and thus benefit their physical and mental health.
