How to make quinoa, red bean and pumpkin dumplings

1. Take 100g of quinoa

7. There are three types of zong leaves sold on the market: dry zong leaves, freshly tied unpackaged zong leaves, and fresh packaged zong leaves. I use the packaged ones.

8. Sprinkle a small amount of flour on the surface of the rice dumplings leaves you bought, and gently scrub both sides of the leaves with a soft brush or wet cloth under running water to remove any stains on the surface, and then rinse with running water.

9. Use scissors to cut off the roots of the rice dumplings.

10. Put the washed zong leaves in a pot, add enough cold water to cover the surface of the leaves, sprinkle in an appropriate amount of salt, and boil the water over high heat to sterilize the leaves.

11. Soak the cooked zong leaves in the hot water in step 4, and use them while wrapping. Soaking in hot water can prevent the leaves from drying out and will not easily damage them when wrapping.
