How to make red wine braised beef

1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees Celsius; wipe the beef dry with kitchen paper

2. Cut into large pieces (I cut into 8 pieces)

3. Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper and salt on both sides

4. Heat an enamel-coated cast iron pan on the stove, add an appropriate amount of olive oil, and fry the beef in two batches after the pan is hot.

5. Cook until each side is golden brown

6. Remove and set aside

7. Use the remaining oil in the pan to fry the carrots, onions, and garlic until they are slightly golden (if there is not enough oil, add some olive oil as appropriate)

8. Also season with appropriate amount of freshly ground black pepper and salt

9.Put the beef back into the pot and stir

10. Sprinkle a little flour

11. Stir it

12. Add canned tomatoes

13. Mix well

14. Add red wine until it almost covers all the ingredients.

15. Throw bay leaves, thyme and rosemary into the pot at the same time

16. Boil

17.Put the whole pot into the preheated oven for 2 hours

18. After two hours, add the mushrooms and mini carrots to the pot.

19. Cook for another hour or so, until the beef is soft and can be easily separated with a fork. Taste it after it is done and adjust the salt and pepper according to your taste. I didn't add anything and everything was just right.

20. Finally, sprinkle a handful of Italian parsley or chopped coriander
