How to make Guozhen lotus root & Guozhen winter melon

1. Wash and peel the lotus root.

2. Cut into round slices and rinse with water.

6. Cover with lid and refrigerate. It will be ready in about 1 day.

7. Peel the winter melon, remove the flesh and slice it.

8. Use a mold to press the winter melon into cubes of various shapes or cut into long strips.

9. Put it into a pot of boiling water with a little salt and blanch it. When it is cooked, take it out, rinse it with cold boiled water, and drain the water.

10. Add appropriate amount of fruit extract and warm water into a clean container and stir well. (The higher the concentration of fruit essence, the more beautiful the color of the soaked winter melon will be)

11. Put the blanched winter melon cubes into the prepared fruit water. It is best to let the fruit water cover the winter melon cubes.

12. Cover with lid and refrigerate. It will be ready in about 1 day.
