The "Sea Drugs Materia Medica" also says that they "treat restlessness, heart tightness, phlegm in the stomach, clear runny nose due to cold, and cough and shortness of breath."

However, if you eat too much, you will often experience some allergic symptoms. In mild cases, you will experience abdominal pain, nausea, swollen lips and eyelids, itchy and painful throat, itchy eyes, ears, and nose, sneezing, clear runny nose, dizziness, and palpitations.
