How to make Thousand Leaf Layer Cake

7. Put 150 grams of egg whites, 0.5 grams of tartar powder (can be replaced with a few drops of white vinegar or lemon juice), and 90 grams of fine sugar into a container.

8. Beat the meringue into dry foam.

10.2 First add 1/3 of the meringue into the egg yolk mixture.

11. Pour step 10 into the remaining 2/3 of the meringue.

12. Stir lightly and quickly until evenly mixed.

13. Pour the mixed batter into a rectangular baking pan lined with greaseproof paper and smooth the surface with a scraper.

14. Evenly squeeze the ingredients from step 2 into a line pattern on the surface of the cake batter.

15.Then use a toothpick to pick it back and forth.

16. When the egg yolk liquid has bamboo leaf-like patterns, it can be put into the oven for baking.

17. Baking: (Time and temperature are for reference only, please use your own oven as the standard) Preheat the oven in advance to 190 degrees for 18-20 minutes. After cooling down, cut into 2 slices. Spread cream or jam in the middle according to personal taste, then cut into small pieces. You can also roll it into a Swiss roll.
