How to make garlic braised pork rice

1. Shallots, which look like the ones in the photo, will make the food more fragrant. If not, use onions instead. Chop shallots and garlic

4. Heat the oil in a pan, add the chopped shallots, and fry slowly over low heat until golden brown.

6. When the meat turns white, add the minced garlic and stir-fry, then add the five-spice powder, oyster sauce, and soy sauce. When the meat is fully colored, add the rice wine. When the seasoning boils, pour in water so that the meat is completely covered, and cook over high heat.

7. After the soup boils, pour it into the casserole and simmer over low heat. After half an hour, taste it. If it is bland, add more soy sauce or salt. After about an hour, add rock sugar and cook over medium heat until the juice thickens. Don't let it thicken completely, as it will make the rice fragrant.

8. It’s a little greasy, sprinkle with coriander when you’re ready to eat. I didn’t have any, so I just put cucumber slices :)
