Italian thin crust pizza with homemade pizza sauce

1. Prepare materials

2. Add yeast, warm water and olive oil to high-gluten flour and knead well. I forgot to add the olive oil at the beginning, and added it in the last step. It didn’t have much impact except that it was not easy to knead.

3. After kneading the dough for a few minutes, add sugar and salt and continue kneading.

4. After kneading the dough until the surface is smooth, cover it with a wet cloth or plastic wrap and wait for the dough to ferment.

5. Take out the dough after it has doubled in size.

6. Divide into 6 equal portions and roll into balls. I make each portion smaller, about 6 inches. If you want to make 8 inches, divide it into 4 portions. Wrap each portion of unused dough with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator.

7. The oven can be adjusted to 240 degrees for preheating. Take a portion of dough, sprinkle some flour on the chopping board to prevent it from sticking, and use a rolling pin to roll it into the shape you want. Because it is a thin-crust pizza, the dough is rolled very thin so that it will be crispy and delicious when baked. In order to highlight my professionalism and uniqueness, I specially made it into a square. Of course, the final result once again proved that the gap between reality and ideal is so huge.

8. Brush the dough with homemade red sauce. The simplest way is to use ketchup instead, but the taste will not be as good.

9. Top it with mozzarella cheese. Do you like cheese? If you like it, add it to your heart's content.

10. Place the salami on top and bake in the oven for about 8 to 10 minutes.

11. Top the baked pizza with arugula leaves.

12. It still looks beautiful and professional from a distance, right?

13. Well, it came out crooked when baked! ! So young people like me who have clumsy hands, please don’t overestimate your abilities by making square pizzas. Please just make a round base!
