A healthy body requires us to maintain it in all aspects. Diet is an important aspect that cannot be ignored. It is a pity if you get sick because of neglecting to take care of yourself. Handmade whole wheat steamed buns are easy to make and provide nutritious dishes for those who do not have much time to spend on cooking. 1. Put flour, sugar and dry yeast in a container, add water and knead the dough with your hands. 2. Knead until it becomes a smooth dough and apply some water on the surface to prevent it from drying out. 3. Boil water in a steamer until it reaches about 40 degrees and then turn off the heat. Then place the dough and the container together on the steamer, cover it with a lid, and allow the dough to rise in a warm and humid environment. 4. This process lasts about one to three hours, depending on the degree of dough fermentation. The dough ferments to about twice its original volume. 5. Pull it open to reveal a honeycomb-like porous structure, as shown in the picture. 6. Knead the dough to release the air, then knead it on the chopping board. Sprinkle flour on the chopping board to prevent sticking, and sprinkle an appropriate amount of flour on the dough to prevent sticking. Knead the dough repeatedly until it is no longer sticky and round. 7. Knead the dough into a round stick shape. 8. Use your hands to start pinching the dough into even pieces. Divide the dough into seven equal parts. 9. Sprinkle some flour on each dough and start kneading the buns with your hands. Pull the dough on the edges towards the middle, and knead them repeatedly. 10. Place the wrinkled side downwards and the smooth side upwards, and rub the buns gently and repeatedly with both hands to make them stand out and look beautiful. 11. Place the kneaded buns on the pot curtain and let them rise for about ten minutes. 12. Cool the pot and water, cover the steamer with linen cloth, put the steamed buns in evenly, and make sure to leave some space for the buns to roll out. Bring water to a boil over high heat, then turn to medium heat after boiling. Keep simmering on medium heat for about 15 minutes without opening the lid. 13. Turn off the heat and simmer for about two minutes to release the steam. Open the lid and you will see the soft steamed buns are ready. 14. Take the steamed buns out of the pot while they are still hot and place them on a pot curtain that can easily dissipate heat and moisture to cool.
