Put the soaked rice into a pot, add water and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Then add wolfberry, yam pieces, rock sugar and green onions and cook together, stirring slightly, for 30 minutes.

2. Lamb, Astragalus, Glutinous Jujube Porridge

Preparation method: 150 grams of mutton, 10 grams of astragalus, 10 red dates (pitted), 5 grams of dried ginger, and 100 grams of glutinous rice. Boil the glutinous rice, then add the mutton, astragalus, red dates (pitted), galangal, and glutinous rice and cook until cooked. Add a little salt to taste and serve.

3. Ginger porridge

Preparation method: 15 grams of galangal powder and 100 grams of rice. First put the galangal powder into the porridge pot, add 2000 ml of water, simmer over medium heat until 1500 ml is left, remove the galangal residue, then add washed rice and cook over low heat until it becomes porridge. Take while warm.

4. Pepper porridge

When it is cooked, add salt and other ingredients, and boil it for one or two more times. Alternatively, grind 1 gram of peppercorns into fine powder and add it to the porridge. 5. Pumpkin porridge

Preparation: Peel and clean a fresh pumpkin, steam it in a steamer until soft, then mash it into a paste. Put rice in a pot, add water and bring to a boil, then add the pumpkin paste and cook while stirring until the rice and pumpkin are soft and tasty.

7. Fennel porridge

Preparation method: 10-15 grams of fennel and 50-100 grams of glutinous rice. Put fennel into a casserole with clean water and boil it, take out the juice and remove the residue; wash the japonica rice clean. Put the pot on the fire, add the rice and medicinal juice and cook into porridge.

Efficacy: Fennel can strengthen the stomach and dispel cold. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is a pain reliever. This porridge has the effects of promoting qi and relieving pain, strengthening the spleen and appetite, and promoting lactation. 8. Astragalus, Codonopsis and Inner Gold Porridge

Preparation method: 15 grams of raw astragalus, 20 grams of Codonopsis pilosula, 10 grams each of raw coix seed and red bean, 10 grams of chicken gizzard powder, 5 grams of tangerine peel, and 80 grams of glutinous rice. Add raw astragalus to water and boil for 20 minutes, take the juice, add coix seed, red bean, glutinous rice and cook into porridge, then add chicken gizzard powder.

Efficacy: This porridge has the effect of digesting food and soothing the stomach. It is used to treat abdominal distension, loss of appetite, physical fatigue and loose stools caused by spleen deficiency, dampness and food stagnation.

It is reminded that patients with stomach problems should not eat too much sweet porridge. To avoid acid reflux and bloating due to insufficient gastric motility, a little shredded ginger or tangerine peel can be added to the porridge.
