How to Cook Chicken Drumsticks

Method 1

Fried chicken drumstick

1 Marinated chicken thighs. Mix the spices and 1 tsp olive oil and rub the spice rub into the chicken to enhance the flavor. Marinate chicken thighs in refrigerator for at least 1 hour before frying. The longer you marinate, the darker the color will be and the more the aroma will penetrate into the chicken.

2 Heat a pan with olive oil over medium heat. Add at least 2 tsp olive oil, enough to coat the bottom of the pan. Wait 1-2 minutes for the oil to heat up

3 Place the chicken on the pan and heat for 5-10 minutes. Fry until the chicken buttocks are dark in color and begin to turn crispy and brown.

4 Turn the chicken over and fry the other side. Until it becomes the same color as the first side. You can cut into the thickest part of the chicken to check for doneness. The chicken juices should be clear and the meat should be opaque—not pink.

5 Take out the chicken and wait for it to cool. Leave on a plate for at least 10 minutes until cool.

6. Prepare to eat. Eat while hot. You can eat it plain or with vegetables and potatoes.

Method 2

Boiled chicken thighs

1Prepare chicken stock. Prepare chicken stock and chop leeks, onions and garlic. Place a stock pot over medium-low heat and add the olive oil. Then add the chopped ingredients and wait. Then add the chopped carrots, celery, bay leaves and chicken stock.

2 Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Add salt and pepper at the same time. Then reduce heat to 170 - 180 ºF (76 - 82 ºC).

3Add chicken thighs to the broth. Gently move the chicken legs if they touch each other. You don’t want to eat raw chicken legs nor do you want abnormal chicken legs, so avoid squeezing each other while cooking.

4Cook for 25-30 minutes until the chicken is tender. Make sure internal temperature reaches 165º F (74º C) before eating. When done, place on a plate and let cool for 5-10 minutes.

5. Prepare to eat. You can eat it plain or with vegetables and mashed potatoes.

Method 3

Grilled Chicken Legs

1Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).

2 Grease the bottom of a baking dish with olive oil. You should use 2-3 teaspoons of olive oil.

3Prepare the chicken legs. Rinse chicken thighs and pat dry with paper towels. Then coat with olive oil. Rub olive oil into the chicken thighs to prevent burning and add flavor. Then sprinkle some salt and freshly ground pepper on both sides of the chicken.

4 Place the chicken skin side up on the pan. Leave some space between the chicken thighs to avoid crowding.

5 Bake for 30 minutes. Place the pan in the oven and begin roasting.

6 Reduce heat to 350°F (176°C) and bake for another 10-30 minutes. Chicken thighs should be roasted for 14-15 minutes per pound. Cook until the chicken juices turn clear instead of pink when you poke the chicken thigh with a knife. The chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165ºF (74º C). If the chicken thighs are not as brown as you want, you can bake them for another 5 minutes.

7 Remove from the stove. Remove the chicken thighs from the pan and place on an aluminum plate, covered with foil. Let sit for at least 5-10 minutes before eating.

8 Ready to serve. Eat directly while hot.

Tips

These methods are suitable for cooking pheasant or guinea fowl, but they can only be cooked to medium rare. Unless you're not sure the chicken is clean and should be cooked until crispy or better yet: give it to the dog first.

Once frozen, meat will not be as soft even if it is left out for several hours.

No liquid will be left behind or reused. Anything over 120 degrees Celsius will have bacteria. The cooking process kills some bacteria but not all. Spores or mold will only start to die slowly at 120 º C.
