How to make mushroom, carrot and meat buns

1. Pour flour and baking powder into a bowl and mix well.

4. Add appropriate amount of warm water to the flour, knead into a smooth dough, cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm place to ferment.

6. Chop the pork into minced meat and put it into a container.

7. Boil water in a pot and blanch the mushrooms, then rinse with cold water and squeeze out the moisture.

8.Cut the mushrooms and carrots into small pieces.

9. Chop the carrots and mushrooms or blend them in a food processor, and chop the green onions into fine pieces.

10. Add 50 ml of water to the minced meat and stir in a clockwise direction.

11. Add chopped green onion, ginger powder, pepper powder, cooking wine and light soy sauce to the meat filling.

12. Cooking oil, oyster sauce, salt and chicken essence.

13. Continue stirring in a clockwise direction.

14. Add mushrooms and carrots.

15.Mix together with the minced meat.

16. When the dough has fermented to twice its original size, open the honeycomb holes inside the dough and knead the dough evenly.

17. Take an appropriate amount of dough and divide it into small pieces. The pieces should be bigger than those for making dumplings.

18. Take a piece of dough, flatten it, and roll it into a pancake crust that is thin on both sides and thick in the middle.

19.Put appropriate amount of filling in the middle of the pastry.

20. Use your thumb and index finger to pinch out pleats, moving the buns while pinching.

21. Finally, close the edges and shape the buns. Set the buns aside to rise for 20 minutes.

22. Put cold water in a pot and turn on high heat.

23. Steam for ten to fifteen minutes after the water boils.

24. Serve.
