Stir-fried Cabbage Slices with Dried Tofu

Dried tofu and cabbage are very common foods in the northern region, and people in the northern region like to combine the two foods together to make a variety of delicious foods. Dried tofu is high in protein, while cabbage contains a variety of vitamins. Both of these foods are highly nutritious and can supplement the nutrients needed by the human body. However, stir-frying dried tofu with cabbage slices is very particular. I will give you detailed instructions below.

Stir-fried cabbage with dried tofu is a very common home-cooked dish in Northeast China. I like to cook with them like this because their nutrients complement each other. And it’s simple to make. The Chinese cabbage can be eaten after being slightly stir-fried, and the dried tofu is also cooked. A vegetarian recipe suitable for children's lunch or dinner.

1. Method 1:

Cut the cabbage into slices diagonally.

Soak in clean water for 10 minutes, wash, remove and drain.

Cut the dried tofu into diamond-shaped pieces.

Cut the onion, ginger and garlic into the following shapes.

Chop some pork belly.

Heat the pan and add oil. When the oil is hot, sauté the scallions, ginger and garlic. Fry until fragrant.

Add a little five-spice powder and a little light soy sauce.

Add the cabbage slices, stir-fry evenly, and turn to high heat until the cabbage slices fall down.

Add dried tofu. Continue to stir-fry.

Add salt, a little oyster sauce, a little sugar, and appropriate amount of chicken powder. Continue to stir-fry over high heat.

Prepare half a bowl of water starch, you can use potato flour.

Pour in water starch.

Continue to stir-fry until half cooked, reduce the sauce, remove from the pan and serve.

Note:

Be sure to add light soy sauce and five-spice powder when stir-frying, as this is the key to a delicious dish. The fire should be lower, otherwise it will burn.

The cabbage slices must be fried until soft, then add the dried tofu.

The sauce should be thick so that it is flavorful.

2. Method 2

Prepare the ingredients.

Blanch the cabbage and dried tofu in water.

After blanching, cool it with water and drain the water.

Heat oil in a pan, add pork and minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Stir-fry until it changes color.

Add the blanched cabbage and dried tofu.

Add soy sauce.

Stir-fry for a while, add a little salt and stir well.

3. Method 3:

Wash fresh Chinese cabbage

Cut the cabbage stalks into slices so they cook faster and have less fiber.

Heat oil and sauté garlic slices or onions

Stir-fry dried tofu

When the cabbage has more water, stir-fry until it changes color, add salt and serve
