How to eat dried figs?

Figs are also called honey fruits in life, mainly because they have a unique sweetness. Dried figs are made for better storage. The way to eat dried figs is actually very simple. They can be used to soak in water, cook porridge or soup, etc. They have the effect of resolving phlegm and relieving cough.

Fig is also known as honey fruit. The branches and leaves of the fig tree are thick and dense, but the flowers that bloom are very small and are often covered by the thick branches and leaves, making them difficult to be discovered by people. When its fruits quietly emerge from under the leaves, the flowers have already begun to fall off.

So people thought it was "fruit without flower", so they named it "fig". Figs are soft and rotten when ripe, and taste sweet like persimmons but without seeds. They are rich in nutrients and contain not only various amino acids, vitamins and inorganic salts necessary for the human body, but also citric acid, fumaric acid, fumaric acid, succinic acid, quinic acid, fatty acids, proteases and other ingredients, and have excellent therapeutic effects. It is suitable for general consumption and is used for weak spleen and stomach, indigestion, or lack of milk after childbirth; dryness and heat in the lung meridian, sore throat or cough; dry intestines and constipation, hemorrhoidal bleeding, and prolapse of the anus.

1. [Cook porridge] Prepare a few dried figs, wash and slice them, then add appropriate amount of glutinous rice. Cook into porridge. It can promote digestion and maintain the stomach and intestines.

2. [Make soup] Prepare a small amount of cooked meat, cut it into shreds, and then put it into the pot together with dried figs to cook. Sprinkle some salt on it when serving. Such soup can effectively treat chronic enteritis and gastritis, and has a good effect on regulating the gastrointestinal tract.

3. [Mixed Vegetables] Mix dried figs and clean watermelon rind (shredded) into a cold dish with a refreshing taste and unique flavor.
