Five-spice steamed pork recipe

Steamed pork with five-spice powder is a common home-cooked dish. Its main ingredients include pork belly, sweet potatoes, cooking wine, pepper powder, steamed meat, rice noodles and other materials. When choosing pork belly, it is best to choose one with relatively more lean meat, so that it will not be greasy and has a less dry texture. Of course, you have to prepare pork belly with skin, and it should be marinated for a period of time before cooking, so that the rice noodles can absorb more moisture.

Pork belly, steamed pork rice noodles, sweet potatoes, fermented glutinous rice, cooking wine, pepper powder, chili powder, bean paste, salt, soy sauce, ginger, and coriander.

practice:

1. Wash the pork belly, clean the skin and slice it.

2. Add various seasonings except coriander and marinate for more than half an hour.

3. Sprinkle the steamed meat with rice flour, knead it firmly, coat it evenly and continue to marinate.

4. Place meat at the bottom of the container and cover with sweet potatoes. Cook for 45 minutes after the pressure cooker starts to steam.

5. Turn it upside down and garnish with coriander.

Tips:

1. It is best to use lean pork belly for steamed pork with rice flour, which is neither greasy nor dry. It is best to steam the meat with the skin.

2. In addition to the fermented glutinous rice juice, you can also add a little fermented bean curd juice for seasoning.

3. Marinating for a longer time not only allows the rice noodles to absorb some moisture, but also allows them to be steamed more easily.

4. You can make your own rice noodles. I’m too lazy, so I bought ready-made ones. It’s best to buy the ones with coarse grains. They also sell spicy ones, but my mother doesn’t eat spicy food, so I used five-spice flavor. However, they didn’t taste it when I added a little chili powder.

5. The base can be replaced with pumpkin, taro or potato.

Operation Tips

1. We use homemade fried and ground steamed meat rice noodles with five-spice flavor. The method is shown here. If you don’t like spicy food, you can fry the rice noodles without adding chili and pepper.

2. If you like steamed meat with the flavor of fermented bean curd, you can dissolve a small piece of red fermented bean curd in water and mix it into the rice noodles. However, do not add salt when seasoning, as the fermented bean curd is already salty enough.

3. Potatoes are more time-consuming to cook, but steamed pork with rice flour also needs to be steamed until the meat is soft and melts in the mouth, so the steaming time should be longer. If you feel that 60 minutes is not enough, you can extend the time as appropriate, but remember not to let the water in the steamer run dry.
