How to make pumpkin taro balls

How to make pumpkin taro balls

Friends are made through getting along with each other, and in the process of becoming friends, visiting each other’s homes is naturally inevitable. It would be really "shameful" if you don't have a signature dish. Of course, you don’t have to worry, because today I will teach you all the techniques on how to make pumpkin taro balls.

1.Put pumpkin and purple sweet potato into the pot and steam for about 20 minutes

2.1 Mix sugar, starch, etc. in proportion (in fact, I just grab the amount at random) and mix well. Note that pumpkin has more water, so you will need to use a lot more powder.

3.2 Put the steamed pumpkin and purple sweet potato into containers and mash them into puree.

4.12 Add starch to pumpkin and purple sweet potato little by little as you usually do with dough. When they are no longer sticky, take them out separately and knead them on the chopping board. I repeated this process about 10 times, kneading, stopping, and kneading again (my hands were sore from kneading that I couldn't hold the mouse comfortably at work the next day). It was really a physical job.

5.21 Roll the dough into long strips and cut into small pieces. You can also roll it into small dumplings.

6. Put the dumplings into boiling water and cook for another 5 minutes after they float up.

7. Take it out and put it in cold water for several times, so that the taro balls will be more chewy.

8. If you can’t finish the taro balls at once, you can freeze them in the refrigerator

9. The taro balls are so chewy that you can’t even hold them with your hands. The taste is no worse than that of the fresh taro balls.

10. You can put it in mung bean and red bean soup. Make it yourself. It is real and fresh. If you want to eat pumpkin, make pumpkin. If you want to eat taro, make taro. The steps are the same.

Many friends think that cooking is troublesome and are unwilling to do it. There are also many dishes that are relatively simple. Today I will introduce to you pumpkin taro balls which are more suitable for lazy people. You may as well give it a try.
