List of low protein foods

Protein-rich foods can satisfy our body's absorption needs, but some people cannot consume too much protein and can only eat foods with low protein content. The body absorbs low protein. Low protein can limit the aggravation of some diseases. For example, patients with acute nephritis, uremia or renal failure should reasonably control their protein intake in normal times. Low-protein foods, including what they are, are issues that many people are concerned about.

A low-protein diet is a diet that restricts the amount of protein provided.

It is generally used for patients with acute nephritis, uremia, and liver failure. The daily protein supply is about 0.5 grams per kilogram of body weight. The total amount is generally limited to 20-40 grams (including animal and plant protein) depending on the condition of the disease. Within the limited range, it is required to appropriately select high-quality protein, such as milk, eggs, lean meat, etc.

For people with impaired renal function, sufficient calories are needed to promote the effective utilization of protein. You can supplement it by eating more foods that are high in calories and very low in protein.

1. Oils and fats: salad oil, peanut oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil, etc. When cooking, use more oil to stir-fry, or use cooking methods such as pan-frying and deep-frying. When cooking, use more oil to stir-fry, or use cooking methods such as pan-frying and deep-frying.

2. Low-protein starch: wheat starch, corn starch, lotus root starch, vermicelli, rice noodles, sago, tapioca pearls, low-protein rice noodles, etc., to make a variety of delicious snacks.

3. People with normal blood sugar can add edible sugars (white sugar, rock sugar, honey, ginger candy, fruit candy, etc.) to food, drinks or snacks to increase calories.

Which foods are rich in protein?

Animal foods such as lean meat, like pork, beef, mutton, liver, kidney, chicken, duck, fish, shrimp, crab, etc., like eggs, duck eggs, etc.; dairy products, like cow's milk, goat's milk, etc.

Plant foods such as beans, such as soybeans, green beans, black beans, tofu, soy milk, etc.; cereals, such as rice, noodles, corn, etc.; dried fruits, such as peanuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, melon seeds, etc.

Animal protein has high physiological value, so it is of course best to eat animal protein. However, we all know that plant protein is cheaper. Soybeans and tofu are much cheaper than meat. You can choose according to your financial conditions, but soybeans and soy products are high-quality and inexpensive foods.
