Monkey Bread Recipe

Monkey Bread Recipe

For those who have just entered the marriage hall, do you feel a little anxious? Since my parents prepared everything for me when I was young, now I have to do everything by myself. Do you feel uncomfortable? Especially cooking. Don’t worry, let me introduce you to the method of making monkey bread.

1. In a measuring cup, mix milk, sugar, instant yeast and melted butter. In a blender, mix flour and salt with a paddle head. Then slowly pour the milk solution into the blender at low speed. When all the dry powder disappears, switch to a hook head and continue blending at medium speed. Scrape the blender several times during the process. If it feels dry, add 1 teaspoon of milk until the dough is smooth and stretchable.

2. Put it in a container coated with a layer of oil (I used nonstick butter spray), cover it with a cloth, and place it in a warm place to ferment until it doubles in size. When you insert your finger into the small hole, it does not shrink. This will take about 1 hour.

3. Prepare the filling before the dough finishes fermenting. Mix brown sugar or white sugar and cinnamon powder evenly and set aside. Melt the butter in another bowl and set aside. Mix walnuts and raisins and set aside. Spray or grease a hollow baking pan with oil and sprinkle some walnut raisin mixture on the bottom.

4. After the dough has fermented, pour it onto a table sprinkled with a little flour, pat the dough into a square, and use a scraper or knife to divide the dough into 4 parts.

5. Cut each portion into small pieces. I didn't count all of them, about 50-60

6. Roll the dough into small balls and coat them in butter.

7. Coat it in cinnamon sugar

8. Place in the prepared baking pan. It is best to place each ball in the gaps. After half of the balls are spread, sprinkle some walnut raisin mixture on them, and then continue to finish the remaining balls.

9. There should be some butter left in the bowl. Pour all or part of it (depending on how much butter you like) on the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 30-40 minutes again. It is ready when the dough just comes out of the pan.

10. Preheat the oven to 360F/180C and bake for 25-30 minutes until the surface is golden brown. If the color is dark, cover it with tin foil. After taking it out of the oven, let it cool slightly, about 5-10 minutes. Note that it is still very hot at this time. Put on gloves, cover the bread with a plate, and turn the baking pan and the plate over. It is best to eat it while it is hot. If it's cold, heat it in the microwave for about 20 seconds

With the complete step-by-step method for monkey bread, I’m sure you’ll be able to master it in no time. By then, you will definitely be very happy with your "performance".
