Whenever your stomach growls, you will most likely choose to open the mobile app and place an order. Maybe you are used to this kind of life, but you don’t think that the food outside is so monotonous and tastes like wax. So, in order to eat better, you need to learn from me how to make red dates, snow pear, coix seed and tremella soup. 1. Take a piece of dried Tremella fuciformis. (When choosing Tremella fuciformis, don’t choose pale white. It should be a natural lotus yellow color, with an orange-yellow color near the root.) 2. Soak the Tremella in cold water for at least 3 to 4 hours, changing the water once in the middle. (I usually put it in the refrigerator overnight and cook it the next day.) 3. The root of the Tremella fuciformis is connected to the wooden stake, and there will be some black impurities that are not easy to clean. You can use a knife to remove some of them, and the final soup will be clearer. 4. Take a thermos bucket that can be heated with an open flame and fill it 80% full with cold water. 5. Take one teaspoon of coix seed and wash it with cold water. 6. Bring Tremella and Job's tears to a boil over high heat, cover halfway, and simmer over low heat for one and a half hours. (Basically cook until the coix seeds bloom.) Put it in a thermos container and simmer for more than 2 to 3 hours. (The colloid of Tremella has been completely released.) 7. Take a pear. (The skin of high-quality pears is thin and delicate, so you don’t have to peel it.) 8. Slice, remove the core, cut into small pieces, add dried osmanthus, bring to a boil and simmer on low heat for one hour. 9. Rinse the red dates and wolfberries with cold water. After adding, bring to a boil, turn off the heat and put into the thermos bucket. Let it simmer for a while so that the red dates retain their texture and won’t become too mushy. I always let it sit overnight and eat it the next morning, it tastes best. (Overcooked red dates taste like chewing wax, so be merciful. You can scoop them out and heat them separately in the microwave) 10. A refreshing breakfast for a winter morning The world is so big and there are so many restaurants, so naturally there are many flavors of red dates, pears, barley and white fungus soup. But no one tastes the same as the one you make yourself, so try it now. |
