How to make Guanding Red Bean Paste Buns

1. Mix the main ingredients and knead into a smooth dough. Cover with plastic wrap for basic fermentation.

2. Ferment until it is 2-2.5 times larger.

3. Knead the fermented dough evenly to release the air, roll it into long strips and then cut it into small dough pieces.

4. Take a dough, knead it evenly, and roll it into a round piece. Put a round container on it and cut out round cakes (if you find it troublesome, you can skip this step)

5. Fold in three sides to form a triangle.

6. Turn over and add appropriate amount of bean paste

7.Pinch the three corners together.

8.Pinch the three openings together to create an edge. As shown in the figure

9. Use your thumb and index finger to push out the folds into a lace-like shape. (I didn’t do this very well)

10. Fold up the three sides at the bottom to form the raw dough.

11. Let the wrapped dough rest for another 20 minutes.

12. Put it in the steamer and steam it on medium heat for 20 minutes after the steam comes up.
