How to stir-fry grapefruit peel

People will throw away the grapefruit peel when eating grapefruit, but they would not expect that grapefruit peel has many uses and can even be used as a food ingredient. There are many ways to eat grapefruit peel. To avoid its bitter taste, you need to first peel off the green and yellow skin and leave the soft white spongy part in the middle for consumption[5].

It can be cut into thin slices, put into boiling water for 10 minutes, and then boiled with honey into tea.

It can also be stir-fried as a dish. For example, add onion, ginger, garlic, chili, soy sauce and other seasonings, add a little oil and stir-fry before eating.

Stir-fried beef with grapefruit peel

1. Remove the yellow skin of the grapefruit, remove the white silk, and cut the remaining white part into small pieces

2. Blanch the white flesh in boiling water for two minutes, remove and place in cold water; change the water once a day for three consecutive days. Each time you change the water, squeeze the white flesh dry and squeeze out the water inside.

3. The last squeeze does not need to be completely drained; cut the beef into thin slices

4. Heat the oil in a pan, add shredded ginger and minced garlic, stir-fry until fragrant, then add beef and grapefruit flesh and stir-fry for two minutes, then add salt.

5. Add the coriander segments before serving, stir slightly, and serve.

Honey Grapefruit Peel Egg White Toast

1. Use the oil method to knead until the dough is fully kneaded.

2. Basic fermentation to 2.5 times the size (fermentation at room temperature of 7-10 degrees for 13 hours)

3. Divide into balls and let rest at room temperature for 15 minutes (divide into three portions of 152g each)

4. Roll it twice according to the method of rolling the Hokkaido milk toast in the 65 degree soup.

5. Secondary fermentation at 30 degrees for 60 minutes until the toast mold is 80% to 90% full.

6. Preheat to 180 degrees and bake in the lower and middle layer of a CK25B oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.

7. Take it out of the oven immediately and place it on the baking rack to cool.

Stuffed grapefruit peel

1. Peel the grapefruit, put it in a pot and boil it for ten minutes, then soak it in cold water. Cut the grapefruit peel into triangles.

2. Chop the meat, fish and mushrooms, put them into a large bowl, add appropriate amount of oil, chopped green onion and ginger, salt, sugar, peanuts and basil starch, and stir well in one direction.

3. Fill the minced meat into the pomelo peel and apply some egg liquid on the surface.

4. Heat up some oil in a pan and fry the pomelo peel with flesh until golden brown. Remove from the heat after it is done.

5. Heat the oil in a pot until it is 60% hot, add minced ginger, fermented black beans, garlic, stir-fry until fragrant, then pour in the prepared sauce and stuffed grapefruit peel and simmer for 20 minutes to thicken.
