Method: Peel and cut the yam into pieces, soak them in clean water to prevent oxidation. Cut sausage into diagonal slices. Place the yam slices on the bottom of the bowl and then stack the sausage slices layer by layer like a lotus. Steam the yam in a steamer for about 40 minutes until it is soft.

3. Steamed Chinese Yam with Red Dates

Preparation method: yam, red dates and white sugar. Wash the yam, peel it, cut it into dice, put it into a bowl, sprinkle with sugar and red dates, and set aside. Boil the steamer over high heat, put in a large bowl containing red dates and yam, cover and steam for about 20 minutes, until the yam is cooked.
