Going out early and returning late every day has become the daily pattern of many office workers. They are overworked and have no time to take care of other things. In fact, making this yellow rice oil cake does not require a lot of time and energy.

1. Prepare rose jam and sugar.

2. Let’s process the red bean paste filling first. Pick out the bad beans and sand from the red beans and wash them with clean water.

3. Turn off the heat, release the air, open the lid, and cook the beans until they are soft with a little soup. Add rose jam and sugar, and use a rice spoon to stir and press to separate the beans.

4. Put the washed beans into the pressure cooker, add alkaline flour and 3 times the water. After boiling water, turn to lowest heat, turn on the pressure valve, and cook for about 30 minutes. 5. Put the yellow rice flour into a bowl.

6. Stir into red bean paste filling and set aside.

7. Mix well until there is almost no dry noodles at the bottom. Pinch a piece with your hands, it may be pinched together.

8. Slowly pour in cold water and stir with chopsticks until it becomes granular.

9. Use your hands to rub the dough again. It should be able to be spread out but not too loose. This way it becomes soft and hard.

10. Rub the cake surface repeatedly with both palms to allow the cake to fully absorb moisture. This way, the steamed cake will be more chewy. Cover the steamer with a cloth. Wash the cloth but don’t wring it too dry, otherwise the cake will easily stick to it. Sprinkle the yellow rice flour on it, the thickness should not exceed 2 cm.

11. Take out the cooked cake, dip a disposable glove in a little cold water, press it hard, and knead it into a smooth and chewy cake ball.

12. Put water in a pot and bring it to a boil. Put the steamer on the pot and steam it over high heat for 15 minutes. Use chopsticks to pick it open and have a look. If there is white flour inside, it is not cooked. As long as the noodles are not too thick, they can be cooked through in 15 minutes. If there are still some that are not cooked through, you can steam them for a few more minutes. If you have a lot of dough, you can sprinkle a thin layer on it, steam it for 80% to 90%, and then sprinkle another layer when it is cooked through. Repeat this process. If the cake is undercooked, it will not be chewy and will stick to your teeth.

13. The production of yellow cake is now completed. Yellow cake with meat and vegetables is the most popular way for local people to eat it.

14. Then pinch the yellow cake into small pieces of cake weighing about 100 grams.

15. Use your palm to press the cake into dumpling skin size.

16. Fill the dough with red bean paste. Don’t put too much filling in for the first time, as it will easily come out.

17. According to custom, red bean paste fillings are wrapped into round shapes, sugar fillings are wrapped into triangles, and vegetable fillings are wrapped into dumpling shapes.

18. Pour the oil into the pot and heat it until 80% cooked. Try it with chopsticks. Insert the chopsticks into the oil pan and bubbles will quickly rise around the chopsticks. This oil temperature is fine.

19. Put the fried cakes into the oil one by one, without letting them touch each other. Fry until golden on one side, then turn over and fry the other side.

20. After frying, remove from the pan and drain the oil. The chef couldn't wait to take a bite. Fragrant, sweet, soft and sticky.

21. Simply pat it and eat it while it’s hot.

22. If it is a wedding, pack it up quickly and deliver the wedding cakes to relatives and friends door to door.
