How to make coconut milk bread sticks

2. After 10 minutes, add the softened butter and continue kneading the dough for 40 minutes until it is fully cooked.

3. Then start the fermentation process for about 1 hour.

4. While waiting for the dough to ferment, prepare the coconut filling. Dissolve the butter in warm water, add sugar and stir evenly until saccharified. Add milk and egg liquid and stir. Finally, add coconut and mix well. Refrigerate.

5. When the dough has fermented to 1.5 to 2 times its size, and a finger inserted into the flour does not shrink when inserted, fermentation is complete.

6. Take out the dough, squeeze out the air, and roll it into a larger rectangle.

7. Take out the coconut filling from the refrigerator and stir it slightly with a spoon.

8. Take the coconut filling and spread it evenly on the right two-thirds of the dough, leaving one-third blank.

9. Fold from the blank third on the left to the middle.

10. Fold it again to form a rectangle as shown in the picture.

11. Slowly expand it into a larger rectangle.

12. Cut into even thin strips.

13. Take a long strip, pinch both ends and twist it two to three times, place it on the baking tray, press it down appropriately with your hands, and place them in order after twisting them all, leaving some space in between.

14. Put it in the oven to ferment, put hot water at the bottom, and let it rise to 1.5 to 2 times its size.

15. After fermentation is complete, take it out and brush it with egg liquid.

16. Place it in the middle layer of a preheated oven at 175 degrees, set the upper and lower heat to 165, and bake for about 15 minutes until the color is satisfactory.
