How to make steamed egg with green clams

Although the food in restaurants outside tastes good, some of the seasonings added in it are not so healthy. Therefore, as long as conditions permit, it is still worth recommending to cook at home. Steamed egg with green clams is simple to make and tastes delicious. It is a very popular dish.

1. Prepare the ingredients and clean the clams.

2. Boil water in a pot, put the chopped onions and ginger slices into the pot and cook together

3. After the pot boils, add the clams and cook until the shells open slightly. Turn off the heat and remove the clams for later use.

4. Strain out the broth from cooking the clams, and discard the scallions and ginger. Leave a bowl of broth and let it warm for later use (discard the broth at the bottom to prevent mud and sand). Mix the egg liquid and broth in a 1:1 or 1:1.5 ratio, sieve and place in a deep plate for steaming eggs. Place the clams in the egg liquid, cover with plastic wrap, and poke a few small holes with a toothpick for ventilation. (I didn’t add salt because the clam juice itself is a bit salty. If you like strong flavors, you can add less salt.)

5. When the water boils, place the egg custard plate on it and steam over medium heat for 8-10 minutes until the egg liquid solidifies, then take it out.

6. Remove the plastic wrap, add a little soy sauce, sesame oil, sprinkle with chopped green onions and you can start eating.
