Shrimp and Tofu Stew

Shrimp stewed with tofu, as the name suggests, is a food made with shrimp and tofu. 1. Cooking Method

Cut the tofu into 5 cm square cubes; remove the mud intestines from the shrimps and wash them; boil the edamame in boiling water for 5 minutes until cooked, remove and set aside.

Heat a wok over high heat, add 25 grams of oil, reduce to medium heat, sauté scallions (chopped) and ginger (chopped), add broth, diced tofu, shrimps, salt and MSG and cook until well-flavored. Add edamame and boil briefly, then pour in 30 grams of cornstarch water (15 grams of cornstarch and water) to thicken. Drizzle with a little sesame oil before serving to enhance the aroma.

It can reduce the cholesterol content in the blood, prevent arteriosclerosis, and at the same time dilate the coronary arteries, which is beneficial for preventing hypertension and myocardial infarction. Shrimp meat also has the effects of tonifying the kidney and strengthening yang, promoting lactation and resisting toxins, nourishing blood and consolidating essence, removing blood stasis and detoxifying, invigorating qi and nourishing yang, dredging meridians and relieving pain, and stimulating appetite and resolving phlegm.

3. Food incompatibility

Tofu: Tofu should not be cooked with spinach and chives, as it will produce calcium oxalate which is easy to form stones; tofu should not be eaten with honey, wild rice stem, bamboo shoots and pork liver.

Shrimp: 1. It is strictly forbidden to take large amounts of vitamin C when eating shrimp, otherwise, trivalent arsenic will be produced, which can be fatal; 2. It should not be eaten with pork as it will damage sperm; 3. It should not be eaten with dog meat, chicken, musk deer meat, venison, and pumpkin; 4. Avoid sugar; fruit juice and shrimp are incompatible and eating them together will cause diarrhea.
