1. After washing the cabbage, pick off the leaves and slice the roots with a slanting knife.

2. Wash the red pepper, then cut into shreds and set aside.

3. Put the cabbage leaves into a heat-resistant bag, loosen the bag, cook them in a strong microwave for 7 minutes until soft, and then soak them in ice water.

4. Roll the cabbage leaves into tubes, squeeze out the water and cut into pieces about 2 cm long. Arrange them upright on a plate and sprinkle red pepper shreds on the vegetables.

5. Heat the salt, sugar, vinegar and sesame oil in a strong microwave for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Take out, stir well and pour on the cabbage.

How to make homemade coleslaw

Cabbage, dried shrimps, peanut oil, vinegar, peppercorns, dried chili peppers, light soy sauce, and sugar.

Method steps

1. Wash the cabbage and tear off the whole cabbage leaves.

2. Then blanch it in boiling water, take it out, drain the water, tear it into small pieces after it cools down, put it on a plate, and sprinkle with appropriate amount of dried shrimps.

3. Add light soy sauce, sugar and vinegar, stir well, then pour into the cabbage.

4. Take a large stainless steel spoon, pour in appropriate amount of peanut oil, peppercorns, and dried chilies, heat them, and finally pour them on the cabbage and stir well.

Tips

When heating the oil, don't make it too hot, just heat it to 60% hot, otherwise the oil will splash out, be careful not to get burned.

Method steps

1. Wash the cabbage and cut it into thin strips, the thinner the better.

2. Boil water in a pot, then put the chopped cabbage in to blanch, remove from the water, and let it cool for later use.

3. Put vinegar, chopped chili, minced garlic, salt, MSG and a little sugar in a small bowl and stir well to make a bowl of sauce.

4. Heat some peanut oil in a pot. When the oil is hot, pour it into the small bowl with the ingredients placed previously.

5. Finally, pour out the water in the cabbage, pour in the seasonings and stir well.

Tips

The blanched cabbage should be put into cold boiled water immediately, so that the cabbage will have a beautiful color and a crisper texture.
