How to cook chestnut beef

1. Soak the beef leg in water for 3 hours and cut it into pieces

2. Crush the garlic and cut the ginger into slices

3. Heat the pan with cold oil, add ginger and garlic

4. Stir-fry until the ginger and garlic are fragrant (bubbles appear on the surface)

5. Add beef cubes and stir-fry until the meat turns white

6. Add dark soy sauce and light soy sauce

7. Stir-fry until browned

8. Add cooking wine and stir-fry for a while

9. Transfer the stir-fried beef to the pressure cooker, add water to cover the beef, add star anise and cinnamon, cover the pot, cook over high heat until the pressure cooker makes a puffing sound, then change to medium heat and cook for 15 minutes

10. After 15 minutes, release the steam, open the lid, add the chestnuts, cover the lid, and cook over medium heat for another 5 minutes.

11. Open the lid, bring to a boil over high heat, add half a spoonful of sugar and serve.
