How to make stuffed caterpillar bread

1. Prepare the ingredients, weigh the flour, oil, and water, peel and seed the pumpkin, steam it in the microwave and let it cool for later use, add a little warm water to ferment the yeast in advance and set aside.

2. Prepare the ingredients for the puff batter. Weigh the oil, water, flour, and egg liquid (for decorating the caterpillar bread).

3. Mash the pumpkin into a paste and add 5 grams of sugar. You can adjust the amount of sugar as you like.

4. Put high-gluten flour, 30 grams of sugar, 0.5 grams of salt, 50 milliliters of cooking oil, 70 milliliters of warm water, 10 grams of milk powder and 1 spoon of egg liquid into the bread basket, make a hole in the flour and add the fermented yeast.

5. Put the dough into the bread machine and knead it for 30 minutes.

6. Open the lid when it clicks, stretch out a small dough, and check if a glove film appears.

7. Then do not take out the dough, let it ferment for 60 minutes

8. While waiting for the fermentation time, make the puff batter. First, put water and oil into the pot and heat on low heat until boiling.

9. Then quickly pour the low-gluten flour into the pot and mix well to make the dough, that is, boil the dough into a ball.

10. Let it cool to the touch, add the egg liquid in batches, stirring well each time before adding the next one.

11. Then put it into a piping bag and set aside.

12. Now the fermentation time is up, take out and knead the dough.

14. Take one of the dough and squeeze it, roll it into a dough sheet with a rolling pin, and spread a layer of pumpkin puree evenly on it.

16. Leave some space between the buns, place them on a baking tray, and apply a layer of egg wash on the surface.

17. Then use a piping bag to squeeze the puff batter onto the surface in a curved shape. Dip a little black sesame seeds in egg liquid and put it on one side to make the caterpillar's eyes.

18. Put it into the preheated oven at 190 degrees and bake it on the middle layer for 20 minutes.

19. Let it cool a little after it comes out of the oven and then you can eat it. It is soft, sweet, and has long strings, which is great.

20. The finished product is done, it’s done, take a photo of the decoration.
