How to make the smiling buns

1. Peel and slice the pumpkin and purple sweet potato, and steam them.

2. Use a spoon to mash the pumpkin (pour out excess water from the pumpkin first) and let it cool.

3. Add flour and yeast separately (divide flour and yeast into two parts in half)

4. Knead into a smooth dough (the purple potato is relatively dry, so add some cold water to knead)

5. Place in a warm place and let it ferment until it is twice as large and does not shrink when pressed with your thumb.

6. Divide the purple potato dough into small doughs of about 20 grams and knead them into smooth balls. The same goes for the pumpkin dough. Roll the pumpkin dough into a round shape.

7. Place the purple potato balls on the pumpkin dough

8. Wrap into buns

9. With the closed edge facing downwards, cut a cross on the dough.

10. Brush oil in the steamer, put the prepared dough in and let it ferment for another 20 minutes. Then steam over high heat for 15 minutes and simmer for 5 minutes

11. Remove from heat.
