1. Prepare various ingredients.

2. Divide the two fermented doughs into three parts, with the ratio of purple potato dough 2: white dough 1: purple potato dough 0.5;

3. Roll the three portions of dough into noodles of equal length;

4. Roll the white noodles into a round dough sheet, wrap the thinnest purple potato noodles inside, pinch the edges tightly, and gently roll into a cylindrical shape;

5. Roll the largest purple sweet potato noodles into a round dough sheet, wrap the cylindrical noodles made in step 4 inside, and pinch them into a thick column;

6. Use a knife to cut the noodles into small pieces of about 0.8 cm;

7. Pinch out a small tip at one end of each small section, and make a group of 5 with the tip in the middle to form a plum blossom shape. Place them in a steamer for a second fermentation for about 20-25 minutes. After the dough rises, several "petals" will swell and stick together.

8. After fermentation, use a knife to cut the "petals" for decoration.

9. Knead the fermented dough evenly, divide it into small portions and knead into balls;

10. Flatten the small dough, wrap it with red bean paste, close the opening tightly, and flatten it gently;

11. Use scissors to cut 8 holes around the dough, then flip the cuts upwards to expose the bean paste, forming a chrysanthemum shape;

12. Put the finished chrysanthemum buns into the steamer for the second fermentation. You can sprinkle some sesame seeds in the center.

13. Steam the fermented plum blossom buns and chrysanthemum buns for about 20 minutes.
