How to make piggy buns

Every time you visit friends or colleagues’ homes, you’ll find that they all have one or two specialties. But every time it was my turn, I was always short of money. You look particularly embarrassed like this, don't you? So, for the sake of your dignity, come and learn how to make piggy buns with me now.

1. Prepare two pounds of flour, yeast powder, baking powder and water. Add 10 spoons of sugar and 1 spoon of baking powder to the flour and sift evenly. Prepare a bowl of 30-degree warm water and add 2 spoons of yeast powder to dissolve. Pour into the flour in one direction, preferably stirring as you pour.

2. If the yeast water is not enough, prepare another bowl of warm water and mix the dough into lumps. Roll it into a ball again. Then roll the dough into a ball and let it rest to ferment. It will take about two hours in this weather.

3. Soak the mushrooms in advance and wash them clean

4. Wash and chop the green onions and lean meat, and chop the mushrooms and put them together. Add 1.5 tablespoons of salt, 2 tablespoons of cooking wine, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 4 tablespoons of peanut oil to make meat filling.

5. Add 4 spoons of fruit powder to another bowl of flour, add water and knead into dough, as shown in the picture

6. The fermented dough has a honeycomb shape

7. Then rub out all the bubbles in the dough again, roll it into long strips, and cut it without any small holes. Then divide it into small pieces, roll them into balls, flatten them, and roll them out thinly with a rolling pin. Sprinkle some dry flour on the sticky dough when kneading.

8. Wrap the meat filling in it, close the opening downwards, and pinch the opening like you would for dumplings to make a pig shape. Tear off some pink dough to make a pig nose, press it down with a chopstick to make two nostrils, then pinch two ears and a tail. Prepare some black sesame seeds to make eyes, use a chopstick to dip a sesame seed in water and place it on the pig, and repeat this process for all the pigs.

9. Let’s have a bigger one.

10. I only made one pot, and used the rest to make buns. Friends who are patient can also make them one by one. After finishing each step, brush a layer of oil on the rack to prevent sticking, place the rack in a pot and steam for 20 minutes. Cover the lid only after the steam has been released over high heat. Steam in medium water for 20 minutes

11. After steaming, wait five minutes before opening the lid. One pot of pig is ready
